Bonao Golf Club, a short and flat course, opened in 1977 with five holes and later introduced the last four in 1989.

Originally built for the executives of a large mining company because they thought it would take too long to travel to any other course, it was designed by an assistant to Robert Trent Jones, Sr., who designed the Playa Dorada golf course in Puerto Plata. Golfers of any level will delight in this golf club, which continues to make the game interesting with its diverse layouts.

This Par 3 golf course is not easy to play and get a good score. It has very challenging holes, quite small greens and some with distances of 206/215, 215/220, 188 yards, depending on the tee you hit from and / or placement of the flags.
